Booster President Message
Wow….hard to believe, but it is true. It’s time to begin preparations for another fantastic year of music and pageantry. To all of our new families, Welcome to the Crimson Cadets! To our returning families, thank you for continuing to be a part of all the excitement. And to those families that have just left us, thank you for all that you have done, we will miss you and hope that come back to visit often!

So much transpired last year, that it is hard to imagine how we can top it. But knowing this extremely dedicated and supportive organization like I do, I know that we will. Even though the 07/08 year just ended days ago, we are already off and running for 08/09 with so much to look forward to. This year we will host our own Field Tournament in October and witness the debut of a competitive parade band in November. We’ll hit the road again to some of our favorite Tournaments like Vista Murrieta, Rancho Buena Vista and Vista…(wow…that’s a lot of Vista’s!)…and look forward to new adventures to Scripps Ranch and Moorpark.

We look forward to seeing our kids paying tribute to our military heroes in Old Town on Veteran’s Day, spreading joy on Main Street in Disneyland and ringing in the Holidays in Escondido’s Holiday Parade. And you can certainly look forward to another extraordinary concert series during second semester and continuing to be out in to the community with our unique Chamber Music Project.

With so much going on, we could never accomplish it with out all of our amazing Boosters. Please continue to be involved with your children in this activity. They may not say it publicly, but the really do like seeing you there pitching in and in just a few short years they’ll be on to bigger and better things because of it, in whatever direction they take.

Thanks in advance to all of our exceptional coaches and clinicians that give so much of themselves to the benefit of our kids and this program. And of course, thanks to Mr. Lorenzen for your experience, vision and dedication to make the Murrieta Valley High School Music Department a true standout in the scholastic music field.

So as the summer unfolds and the school year begins, we as parents and students, educators and staff, prepare to don the Red and Black one more time, and together, present the 2008-2009 Crimson Cadets. Here’s to another great year!

Cheers!
